上个世纪七、八十年代的好莱坞并不象现今的好莱坞，充斥着无聊的大片。那个年代还延续着三、四十年代的优良传统，往往影片里充满着正义的昭彰。这并不代表电影不好看，反而有些电影拍的非常有艺术性和观赏性，极其认真和细腻，制作尤其精良，可谓严丝合缝般的经得起时间的拷问。只是这个好的传统被现实的好莱坞的主流丢弃了。
